Howard H. Sheahan, 83, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Livonia died Thursday, November 1, 2001 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, at Sacred Heart Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery in Rosebush. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Howard was born March 29, 1918, in Rosebush, the son of Frederick and Martha (McGuirk) Sheahan. He married Viola Quillen August 27, 1946 at Sacred Heart. He graduated from Beal City High School in 1934 and attended Ferris Institute and Central Michigan College. He was drafted by the U.S. Army during World War II and served from 1941-1943. After his honorable discharge, he worked for Square D Electric Co. In Hamtramck for 17 years as a cost estimator. He later worked for Ford Motor Co. in Warehouse, retired in 1959. He moved to Mt. Pleasant within the last year after living in the Detroit area since 1938. Howard is survived by his wife, Viola of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Marilyn Ann Sheahan of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, John Sheahan of Beal City and Fred Sheahan of Flint; one sister, Monica Andres of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Sheahan of Beal City and Mary Lou Sheahan of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Edward, Raymond ''Chuck'', and Donald.
