Imogene Jewel Mutschler

Imogene Mutschler, 72, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at home.  Imogene was born on March 22, 1950, daughter of the late Lloyd and Evelyn (Atkins-Wright) Mutschler, in Ionia, MI.  She was number seven of fourteen children.  In August 1968 she married Carl Edward Miller, together they had four children, Carla (Scott), Darla (Jim), Carl (Sandie) and Derrick (Shannan).  After her divorce to Carl in 1984, Imogene married David Salas in 1988 and became mom to Dominick, David, Jerimiah and Christopher.  Family was always very important to her. She was proudest of her grandbabies, enjoyed playing dice and cards. She was an avid reader, loved music, needlepoint, painting and coloring.  Imogene is survived by her children; step-children; grandchildren,  Herb (Susan), Jessica (Chris), Brad (Heather), Tia (Phil), Samantha, Evallise, Carl John, Ariel, Keegan, Nolan, Milei, Annastasia, Parker and Derrick; great grandchildren, Ty, Karra, Mason, Connor, Cayden, Jaden, Cameran, Paisley, Angel, Eirebella, Tru, Chloe, Addyson, and Trenton; siblings, Mary, Richard, Rosie, Elaine, Shirley, and Jill; nieces and nephews; best friend, Esther Nelson. Imogene is preceded in death by both parents; son, Carl; siblings, Judy, Bub, Jack, Joan, John, Lloyd and Bliss.  A Funeral service for Imogene will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, a luncheon will be immediately followed in the Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home).
