Hall, 53, of Winn, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at home, surrounded by his family after a short battle with mantle cell lymphoma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at St. Leos Catholic Church in Winn with Father Fred Kawka presiding. Burial will be in St. Leos Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Friday. Visitation continues at the church on Saturday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or Pardee Cancer Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jim was born Nov. 28, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Charles and Geraldine (Nicholson) Hall. A graduate of Shepherd High School in 1975 Jim married Suzan Goffnett Oct. 17, 1981, at St. Leos. For over 25 years Jim owned and operated Circle H Trucking. During that time he hauled cattle and equipment for Morbark, Bandit Industries, Catapillar, and many others. He will always be remembered for having the cleanest truck around and an amazing pride for his job. He was a member of St. Leos Parish and Dushville Sporting Club in the upper peninsula. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sue; two children, Charles C.J. Hall of Winn and Megan Hall and her fiance Adam Williams of Shepherd; one grandson, Connor James Hall; and five siblings, Linda (John) Florian and Sue Hohlbein, both of Shepherd, Carol (Chris) Long and Ed (Kathy) Hall, both of Mt. Pleasant and Bill (Colleen) Hall of Winn; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
