James A. Reid

James Reid, 66, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Lansing, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Jim was born August 13, 1944, in Lansing, the son of the late Debro and Laura (Walker) Reid. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam. Jim married Cynthia Marrison on June 24, 1970, at Maple Grove Baptist Church in Lansing. He was employed by Motor Wheel Corporation for 25 years. He and his wife moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1988. While in Mt. Pleasant he worked for Elliott Greenhouse, Meijer, and finally as a security monitor at the Soaring Eagle Casino. Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy of Mt. Pleasant.
