James H. Smith, Sr., age 72, of Alma passed away on November 14, 2014 at Warwick Living Center.
James was born to Charles and Pauline (Carrol) Smith in Mt. Pleasant on February 26, 1942. He married the love of his life, Carren A. Magee on September 20, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim worked as a welder for most of his life. He enjoyed collecting hats, nice cars, playing bingo, and loved his family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carren A. Magee-Smith of Alma; 3 sons, James (Jim) Smith, Jr., Steven Smith, and Edward Smith; step-children, Lawrence Waldren, Danny Sloan, and Jeffrey Scott; grandchildren, Jasmine Smith, Heath Smith, Georgena Waldren, Nancie Waldren, and AJ Waldren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Robert, Kenneth and Susan.
Per Jim's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
