Janet Irene Earl

Janet Earl, 80, of Mt Pleasant, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at McLaren of Central Michigan.  Janet was born on August 7, 1941, daughter of the late Harold and Hazel (Riggle) Schafer in Weidman, Michigan.  She married Richard Earl on April 4, 1959, at St. Leo's Church in Winn, Mi.  Together they had three children and resided in Mt. Pleasant where Janet worked for the Beal City Public Schools for 11 years as a cook.  Janet liked to go camping, her favorite spot was at School Section Lake.  She was an amazing cook and liked to sing and dance.  Janet loved being around little children.  She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Lynn (Pat) DeLong of Mt. Pleasant, and Ron (Suzanne Greco) Earl of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Amanda DeLong, Tiffany (Stuart) Lusk, Tonya (William) McGillen, Brandi Earl, Hollie (Tim) Batchelder, Amber (John) Roberts and Ashley (Norman) Curtiss; eleven great grandchildren; and three siblings. Janet is preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick Earl; and one brother.  There will be a private family service for Janet, and she will be laid to rest in the St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Winn, Michigan.
