Janice Campbell, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant. She was just hours away from turning 72. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Lux Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Major Owen Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Chippewa Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday two hours prior to the service. Janice was born May 30, 1942, in Alma, daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Frances A. (Rust) Graham. A graduate of Highland Park High School in 1959, Janice married David Lee Campbell on Feb. 1, 1985, in Mt. Pleasant. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. She worked as a mental health caregiver for 10 years and also provided child daycare in her home. She owned and operated Jans Cleaning Service. She attended Faith Ministries Church in Midland and Glad Tidings Church in Oil City and was recently inducted as an officer into the Salvation Army. Janice is survived by six children, Sheryl Leasher of Fowlerville, George Scheffler of Texas, Harry (Rich Lendrum) Medaris of Houghton Lake, Jana Medaris of Mt. Pleasant, Angela (Doug) Thrush of St. Louis and David (Betty) Campbell of Shepherd; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Joseph Graham of Harrison; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Frances; step-dad, Arnold Cook; husband, David Lee Campbell; and brother, Lawrence Graham Jr.
