Janice Marie Gallagher

Janice Gallagher, 46, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Janice was born Feb. 27, 1965, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of Edward C. Ted and Dixie B. (Harless) Gallagher. A 1984 graduate of Beal City High School, Janice worked as a housekeeper at the Comfort Inn through Mid Michigan Industries. She loved music, singing, and shopping and was a fan of the Beach Boys and Beatles. Janice is survived by her mother, Dixie Gallagher of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Michael (Anne) Harless of Cadillac; sister, Julia Gallagher of Mt. Pleasant; nieces, Jacquelyn Gallagher Angel Sian and Jessica Harless; and many aunts and uncles.
