Jeffery "Jeff" Clyde France

Jeff France, 70, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.  Jeff was born February 15, 1952, in Midland, son of the late Clyde and Marilyn (Miller) France.  Jeff married the love of his life Brenda Nestle, on February 18, 1972, in Midland, just before serving his country in the Army from 1972 - 1976.  Once home he worked in the drywall industry for several years before he became passionate in woodworking. He worked as a residential finish carpenter, turning construction sites into attractive living spaces, by creating beautiful cabinetry, custom bookshelves, and unique staircases, for many families and businesses over the years.  In the last several years, he became a general carpenter in his community, working with longtime friend, Doug Eastman.  Jeff enjoyed spending time with family, sitting around a bon fire, camping and hunting with his son, Michael.  He also looked forward to his trips to the Upper Peninsula. Jeff will be dearly missed by his loving wife, beautiful daughters, and grandchildren. Jeff is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda; children, Shawn (Jeff) Gray of Hope, Stacy (Hollie) France of Midland; grandchildren; Tyler and Romlynn Gray, Travis and Madison Gray, Aaron France, Abigail France, and Levi Hitz; daughter in law, Michelle France; siblings, Frank (Kathy) France, Tim (Kelly) France, Joe (Carmen) France and Chris (Karen) France; brother in laws, Kevin (Peggi) Nestle, and Bruce (Linda) Nestle;  sister in law, Judy (Keith) Warren; special niece, Juliana McFarland.  Jeff's family will be welcoming his first great granddaughter very soon.  He is preceded in death by both parents; son, Michael A France (2012); siblings, Sharon, Ted, Michael, and Andrew.  A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Midland Missionary Church (2489 W. Prairie Rd., Midland, MI 48640) at 11 am.  Family will receive friends one hour prior for visitation.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, to help offset Medical Expenses.  Envelope will be available at the Church or Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home.
