Jeremy McCormick, 29, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland with his family by his side. Jeremy was born on April 3, 1992, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Beverly McCormick and the late Michael McCormick. Jeremy was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome when he was 2 years old and faced every life struggle with grace and positivity. He brought joy, love, and laughter to his family, friends, and every person he met every day of his life. He lived his 29 years at home with his mother, Beverly, as his primary care giver and best friend. Jeremy loved swimming, watching movies, going shopping, and riding in the car and his golf cart; his favorite days were spent with his nieces and nephews and at Mid-Michigan Industries and Special Olympics with his friends. Jeremy is survived by his mother, Beverly McCormick of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Trevor Krueger of Durango, Colorado, his wife Chelsea and children Ryder and Reese, Nicholas Krueger of Fruita, Colorado, his wife Stephanie and children Olivia and Maggie, Amber Isenberg of San Antonio, Texas, her husband Benjamin and son Elijah, Ashley Davis of Traverse City, Michigan, her husband Dylan and children Adalyn and Kylie, Shannon Ley, her fiancé Taylor Baumann of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and her children Brayden, Conner, Lukas, and Harper; and many aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael McCormick; grandparents, Edward and Mildred Schafer and Patrick and Ann McCormick. A Funeral Mass for Jeremy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, June 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Donald Henkes as celebrant and Deacon Larry Fussman assisting. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Lincoln Reception Center. (attached to Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home). The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home from 4-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2021, with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at the church one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angelman Syndrome Foundation, Special Olympics Michigan, or Mid-Michigan Industries. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at McLaren Central Michigan and MidMichigan Medical Center for the care given to Jeremy.
