Jeremy Dylan Sponseller, 8, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 after a very brief illness. His funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Lux Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Wentworth of Central Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at Lux Funeral Home. Jeremy was born Nov. 23, 1999, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Patrick and Sherrie (Gunter) Sponseller. He was currently enrolled as a second grader at Rosebush Elementary School with Kelly Merrihew. Jeremy was a happy child, always smiling. Some of his favorite activities were jumping, swinging, horseback riding and being in the pool. He also loved apples, bubbles, and video tapes. Jeremy will be missed dearly by his loving parents, Patrick and Sherrie Sponseller; brother, Brandon; grandparents, Roland and Marilyn Trayer of Mt. Pleasant and Kirk Sponseller and Nancy Priestap of Mt. Pleasant, grandpa, Kenneth Gunter of Cordele, Ga., grandma, Retha Hollingsworth of Cordele, Ga. and great-grandma, Winifred Sponseller of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Jim Sponseller and Becca Leonard with cousin, Alisa, and Tim and Mindy Peacock with cousins, Jakob, Reese, and Kora; step-aunts and step-uncles, Ford and Carla Sinicropi, Steve and Rolla Ley, John and Kelli McCann, Dan and Kari Pulver, and Mike Trayer; numerous cousins; great-aunts and great-uncles; and extended family and friends in Michigan and Georgia.
