Joan Carol Kellicut

Joan C. Kellicut, 86, of Mt Pleasant passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A private burial has taken place. Joan was born on April 02, 1931, in Vestaburg, MI, daughter of the late Leonard Hubbard and Eva (Hare) Hubbard. A 1949 graduate of Vestaburg High School, Joan married Charles Kellicut on February 21, 1953 in Vestaburg. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. Over the years she not only played piano for services, but also taught Sunday school and VBS. Joan worked and volunteered at Central Michigan University for many years. She loved to travel up north, including the UP, especially in the fall. Joan enjoyed volunteering at the Mount Pleasant Hospital assisting visitors to locate loved ones and deliver flowers. Joan is survived by her husband Charles Kellicut and their two children, Barbara McBrien of Berkley, MI, and Steven Kellicut of Mt. Pleasant; Four grandchildren, Jordan (Laura) Kellicut, Kelly McBrien, Mathew McBrien and Marissa (Brandon) Jones; Two Great-Grandchildren Emery and Ezri Kellicut and a sister Sandra Elder of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents Eva Nokes (mother), Leonard Hubbard (father) Cal Nokes (stepfather) and a sister Marilyn Deck.
