Joann Adams, 71, of Lake Isabella and formerly of Clinton Township passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Joseph The Worker Church in Beal City with Father Thomas J. McNamara presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Joann was born Sept. 25, 1936, in Detroit, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Cichocki) Olszewski. She married Raymond Adams on Aug. 31, 1957, at Nativity Of Our Lord Church in Detroit. She has lived in Lake Isabella since 1994. She graduated from Nativity High School in Detroit where she was salutatorian. Joann was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed playing cards, particularly Pinnochle, and board games. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, often taking the time to color with them. Joanns home was welcome to everyone. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auiliary and belonged to St. Joseph The Worker Parish in Beal City. Joann is survived by her five children, Raymond J. (Gay) Adams of Plano, TX, Francine (Steve) Molicky of Traverse City, Donald (Donna) Adams of Weidman, Carol (Jim) Risher of Sunnyvale, TX, and Paul (Julie) Adams of Green Oaks, IL; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Frank (Marie) Olszewski of Macomb Twp.; and sister-in-law, Metha Olszewski of Livonia. Joann deeply loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews who were very close to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond in 2006; grandson, Zachary Flippo; two brothers, Joe and Ed Olszewski; and two sisters, Elizabeth Neimi and Valaria Olszewski.
