John H. Campbell

John Campbell, 73, of Lake, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. He was born December 26, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Gerald D. and Pauline F. (Codden) Campbell. His marriage to Connie Coughlin was blessed with four children, Aaron, Steve, and twins, Jessica and Andrea. He later married Linda Wade on December 13, 1984, in Isabella County. John was employed as a correction officer in Standish and St. Louis for the State of Michigan. Prior to that he had worked at Ferro Manufacturing. John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Campbell; three children, Aaron (Lori) Campbell of Los Angeles, CA, Steve Campbell (Emily Straus) of Mt. Pleasant, and Jessica Campbell of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Erin Leigh, Hunter, Cody, Callie, Morgan, Brenna, and Elias; great granddaughter, Brinleigh; sister, Karen (Gale) Travis of Port Sanilac; five stepchildren, Amy Touchtone (Gary) of Rosebush, Priscilla Alexander of Lake, Guner (Joan) McNally of Mt. Pleasant, Edward McNally of Farwell, and Sarah McNally of Mt. Pleasant; and 13 stepgrandchildren including Summer, whom John helped to raise. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Andrea Campbell Sherman; and grandson, Colton Sherman. Johns memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
