John B. Cook

John Cook, 77, of Weidman, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ingham Regional Medical Center, Lansing, MI. Envelopes are available at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. John was born Oct. 29, 1930, in Detroit, the son of William Cook and Eve Hoade. He married Barbara Stokes on June 15, 1996, in Hazel Park, MI. John was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from GTE after 17 years as a machine operator. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two children, Dennis (Phyllis) Cook of Ohio and Denise (Ray) Santiago of Hazel Park; four grandchildren; and one sister, Yvonne (Don) Hengy of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Colleen Cook in 2008.
