John 'Jack' Joseph Voisin

Jack Voisin, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.  His funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Damitio officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home).  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., with a vigil beginning at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Dalis to the Rescue (www.dalistotherescue.com).  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.  Jack was born May 1, 1944, in Grand Rapids, son of the late Walter and Kathleen (McCormick) Voisin. Jack graduated with the class of 1962, from Sacred Heart Academy, in Mt. Pleasant.  After graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1962 – 1966. He married Nadine Merrifield on June 26, 1965, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.   Jack worked for Dow Chemical for over 25 years as a Chemical Engineer, retiring in 1992.  After retiring, he kept himself busy working on many projects around the house.  Jack also enjoyed playing games; Euchre, Sequence and Freecell were some of his favorites.  He will be missed by many. Jack is survived by his two children, Jackie (Rick) Beltinck of Shepherd and Joe (Robyn) Voisin of Grants Pass, OR; six grandchildren, Aviana, Janae, Savonja, Joey, Jordan, and Jaylyn; siblings, Mick Voisin of Papillon, NE, Ron Voisin of Rosebush, Molly (Mike) York of Mt. Pleasant, MaryAnn (Perry) Hart of Grand Rapids, Tom (Brenda) Voisin of Grand Rapids, and Tim Voisin of Mt. Pleasant; sisters-in-law, Karen Sageman of Mt. Pleasant, Janice (Tom) Deyoung of Grand Rapids, Kathy Merrifield of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine in 2019; both parents; twin grandchildren, Jenna and John Beltinck; in law's, John and Mildred (Collard) Merrifield; brothers-in-law, Howard 'Bud' Sageman, John 'Pete' Merrifield; and sister-in-law, Susie Voisin.
