John P. Ouellette

John Ouellette, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, formally of Detroit, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Green Acres Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant.  John was born on March 22, 1947, in Detroit, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Schwehm) Ouellette.  He graduated from Dearborn High School and then served in Vietnam with the Army from 1965 - 1968.  When he returned, he started his career with the United States Post Office.  John was a mail carrier for the Dearborn Post Office for 22 years and retired in 2005.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and stock car racing.  John is survived by his siblings, Lois (Lloyd) Harsh of Bloomfield, Richard (RoseMarie) Ouellette of Deckerville, and Judy (Jim) Suppelsa of Beverly Hills; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both parents and sister, Janice Ouellette Demond.  Per John's wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred at the St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn, Mi.
