John Ross, 19, of Beal City, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 30, 2009. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd. with Pastor David Price of Weidman United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Weidman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. John was born July 28, 1990, in Midland MI, the son of David A. and Teri K. (Peter) Ross. A graduate of Beal City High School in 2008, John was known as a very gifted guitarist. With the group, The Timekeepers , he was a two-time winner of the Beal City talent show. He loved music and even played the clarinet. He received multiple awards while in school and was recently attending Mid Michigan Community College. His family describes him as an intelligent, gentle, warm-hearted, loving young man with a great sense of humor. He was loved and admired by his brother and sisters and will be in their hearts forever. He will be missed by many, and those that knew him, were blest to have had him in their lives. John is survived by his brother, Aaron (Savannah Kaninsky) Ross of Beal City; two sisters, Rebecca (James) Guthrie of Mt. Pleasant and Samantha Ross of Beal City; special aunt, Patricia Glassbrook of Beal City; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Ross (2003) and Teri Ross-Breuer (2008).
