John Timothy Weber

John Timothy Weber, 65, died suddenly but peacefully of natural causes in New Hampshire on October 1, 2017. John was born in Flint, Michigan on February 25, 1952 to Edgar George and Leone Helen (Wisneski) Weber. John graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1970, graduated magna cum laude from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He earned a Masters Degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University in 1976, again magna cum laude. He earned his C.P.A. in 1978. Johns career progressed through increasingly higher level finance positions. His primary areas of focus were strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. He finished his career at Thermo-Fisher Scientific as Manager of Acquisitions. John decided to retire early in 2014 to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle at his beloved home on Lake Winnipesaukee near Moultonborough, New Hampshire with his longtime and loving companion of over 20 years, Jeanne Marshall and his Pomeranians, Ivan and Casper, to whom he was very devoted. The week before he died, John prepared to travel to Michigan to care for his mother instead of spending the winter in Hilton Head, as was his custom. John is survived by his two children, Erica (Adam) Grenker, granddaughters, Sophia and Maya of Mountain Lakes, NJ, and Michael (Ali) Weber, grandchildren Max and Finley, of Charlestown, MA; mother, Leone H. (Wisneski) Weber (native of Saginaw, resident of Mt. Pleasant); sister Lisa Weber of Troy, MI, nieces, Jessica Weber and Hilary (Jeff) Renno; brother Tom (Christine) Weber of Mt. Pleasant, niece, Dr. Lauren Weber, nephew Eric Weber and their mother, Mary Weber of Commerce Township, MI. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues. His father, Edgar G .Weber, a Saginaw native and an executive of General Motors predeceased him in 1961. John will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor, quick wit, passion, bright mind, love of dogs, and a penchant for playing Pinochle so competitively that he would consistently up the bid on his similarly competitive mother just so he could set her. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. The family will be holding a private celebration of Johns life. He will be laid to rest next to his father at Calvary Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donating to a no kill animal rescue center of their choice, as that is what John would have appreciated.
