Jolucile Barragan

Jolucile Barragan, affectionately known as Jo, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. Born on January 6, 1948, in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Harold and Elaine Maxine (Watkins) Brooks. Jo was the youngest of four children, welcomed into the home by her elder siblings Donna, Joyce, and Donald.

Her marriage to Albert McMullen was blessed with two children, Lisa and Jeanette. She later married Mario Barragan, who preceded her in death in 2001. Jo was employed by General Motors in Lansing and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a proud great-grandmother and had a fondness for stray cats.

Jo is survived by two daughters, Lisa McMullen (Richard Chapman) of Lansing and Jeannette (Mike) Pung of Weidman; three grandchildren, Ruben Gonzales of Lansing, Kevin (Ellaina) Pung of Charlotte, and Katlyn (Brenden) Shaner of Weidman; two great-grandchildren, Miles and Jaxon; brother-in-law, Paul Horton of Montana; several nieces and nephews including her special niece, Alicia Lindow; and the significant other to Jo's mom, Pete Burgess.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and husband.

Cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dimondale.
