Joseph DuBois Jr., 69, of Weidman, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. He was born December 7, 1950, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, son of the late Joseph L. and Iva M. (Reaume) DuBois. He attended Taylor Center High School in Taylor, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1973 where he received his GED. Joe married Debra S. North November 6, 1971, in Taylor. He was employed by General Motors in Ypsilanti, retiring from the Adrian plant in 1999. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting or anything outdoors. But more than anything he loved being with his wife, sons and grandchildren. Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debra; four sons, Joseph DuBois III of Lincoln Park, Eulas DuBois of Lincoln Park, Michael DuBois of Taylor, and Steven (Connie) DuBois of Rodney; nine grandchildren, Austin, Kaylin, Emile, Jacob, Brittany, Abby, Camron, Kameron and Ava; five siblings, Wilford (Dawn) DuBois of Remus, August (Sherry) DuBois of Monroe, Iva (David) Fletcher of Alpena, Anna Judson of Pontiac, Tina (Darryl) Lafave of Lexington, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Joes funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the VFW Post 3033 following the committal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12-8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
