Joseph Faber, 70, of Beal City passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass for Joseph will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Father Ricky Varner as celebrant and Father Thomas Held as concelebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Beal City Knights of Columbus Hall. Cremation will take place after Mass and his ashes will be interred in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the gathering room of the church on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Wednesday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the church and Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Joseph was born June 13, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Walter and Ilene (Torpey) Faber. A graduate of Beal City High School, Joseph was employed 25 plus years as a truck driver for Central Concrete. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Eagles Club. Known as a handy man, Joe was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed being on his pontoon. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time in Florida with his significant other, Sharon. Joe is survived by three children, Todd (Shari) Faber of Six Lakes, Heidi Faber (Jeff Storey) of Blanchard, and Ty (Mollie) Faber of Shepherd; his significant other, Sharon Liscomb of Mt. Pleasant and her children, Shari Liscomb, April (Ray) Malott, Donald (Deb) Liscomb, and Aaron (Lauri) Liscomb, all of Mt. Pleasant and Chris Liscomb (Eric Simons) of Evart; grandchildren, Jordan Faber, Joseph Quezada, Jakeb Faber, Jeremy Quezada, Tyler Quezada, Alex Faber, Brooke Faber, and Brenna Faber; and several of Sharons grandchildren; siblings, Judy Battle of Paris, Steve Faber of Rosebush, Susie Mahaffey of Lake, Jim (Sally) Faber of Beal City, and Paul (Chris) Faber of Beal City; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ilene Faber; and sisters, Diane Cunningham, Patty Faber, and Joyce Fridline; and Sharons son, Jesse Liscomb.
