John Muz, 65, of Mt. Pleasant and Waterford, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009, at his residence. Cremation has taken place and his Memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 29, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., with Father Don Henkes officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. John was born Jan. 28, 1944, in Cass City, the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Wieczorek) Muz. He married Enedina Anita Quezada on Aug. 6, 1993, in Mt. Pleasant. He retired from General Motors after 30 years. He was a member of the Eagles in Waterford and the Renegade Motorcycle Club of Pontiac and continued to maintain his residence in Waterford. He enjoyed motorcycles and rebuilding them, and spending time with his family. John is survived by his wife, Anita; seven children, Gina (John) Koch of Oxford, Chip Muz, Daniel Quezada, and Carla (Scott) Sheldon, all of Mt. Pleasant, John Alexander of Lansing, Melissa (Jeff) Trick of South Lyon, and Ginny Quezada of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Jessie, Joshua, Nicole, Levi, Tristan, Jodi, Quinnlin, and Jacob; two brothers, Robert Muz and David (Kathy) Muz, both of Caro; and his sister, Virginia (Gale) Bennett of Garden.
