Joseph C. Stack, 74, of Oil City died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw. At Josephs request, a direct cremation will take place and no formal services will be held. Joseph was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Detroit, the son of John and Mary Stack. He married Betty Morris on July 15, 1950 in Detroit. He was an Electrical Engineer/Draftsman with the National Electrical Welders Corporation for 26 years. He also was an officiator for football, basketball and baseball for many years and belonged to the Michigan High School Athletics Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. Joseph is survived by his wife, Betty Stack of Oil City; three daughters Vicky (Greg) Thompson of Phoenix, AZ, Debra Chalmers of Oil City, Tamara Huggard of Midland; two sons, Randy (Deborah) Stack, and Chris Stack both of Oil City; one brother Frank (Delores) Stack of Port Huron; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
