Joshua Mark Besting, a devoted husband, loving father, and skilled auto mechanic, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Born on November 25, 1985, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Joshua led a life marked by dedication to his family and craft.

Joshua graduated from Hamilton High School in Sussex, Wisconsin, in 2004. He further honed his mechanical skills by earning an associate's degree in auto mechanics from Waukesha County Technical College. His professional journey began at Germantown Tire and Auto in Germantown, Wisconsin, where he worked as an auto mechanic. He later contributed his talents at Steinhafels Furniture Store in Waukesha, Wisconsin, before relocating to central Michigan. There, he was employed by Bandit Industries in Remus, Michigan, where he continued to apply his expertise.

Throughout his life, Joshua was passionate about working on cars, a hobby that brought him both joy and personal satisfaction. Yet, his greatest pride came from his family. He cherished his role as a husband and father, describing his proudest accomplishments as having children and his marriage to his beloved wife, Samantha. His love for his children, Brianna, Brooklyn, and twins Brody and Bryce, was evident to all who knew him. Joshua was known for his kindness and helpful nature, always striving to support those around him. He had long dreamed of a large family, a testament to his deep affection for children and family life.

Among the treasured memories of Joshua’s life were the camping at Yogi Bear Campgrounds and family trips to Disney World, moments that embodied his joy in creating lasting experiences with those he loved.

Joshua is survived by his wife Samantha; his children Brianna, Brooklyn, and twins Brody and Bryce; his father Mark Besting and stepmother Denise of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; his mother Ann Besting of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; and his brother Chris Besting (Holly) of Stoughton, Wisconsin. He also leaves behind a special aunt, Linda Besting, of Milwaukee; maternal step-grandmother, Marilyn Mattias; his parents-in-law Ed and Tracy Doyle of Shepherd, Michigan; his brother-in-law Joe (Brittany) Doyle of Shepherd; his sister-in-law Stephanie (Aaron) Bass of Breckenridge; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joshua’s legacy is also marked by the memory of those who have passed before him, including his paternal grandparents, Robert and Dolores Besting, his maternal grandparents, Charles and LaVern Mattias, and his brother-in-law, Nicholas Doyle.

Joshua Mark Besting will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his gentle spirit, and his commitment to excellence in his work. His absence leaves a profound void, but his memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate to know him.

Cremation has taken place, and no formal service is planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family in care of Samantha Besting.
