Joy Clara Green

Joy Clara Green, 71, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. A Funeral Mass for Joy will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, January 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 12 p.m. " 2 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Sacred Heart Church. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Joy was born December 21, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Arnold and Dorotha (Bristow) Schohl. A 1965 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Joy married Arthur Green II on April 9, 1983, at Sacred Heart Church. Joy was a good wife and a caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and using her computer. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish, the catholic daughters, and a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary. Joy leaves behind her husband, Arthur; three children, Jessica (Mark) Drumheller of Clare, Laura Green (Rocky McQueen) of Remus and Arthur Green III of Ypsilanti; grandson, Rocky McQueen Jr.; brother, Edward Schohl of Shepherd; and brother in-law, Charles Green. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Coresa Schohl in 2015.
