Joyce Elaine Lahti

Joyce Lahti, 75, of Weidman passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant.  Joyce was born on July 8, 1945, daughter of the late Kenneth and Elaine (Watkins) Brooks in Lansing, Michigan. She enjoyed spending time outside in her flower garden.  Most of all, she loved her family and the time they spent together.  Joyce is survived by her children; Alicia Ommen of Lansing and John (Patti) Ommen II of Weidman; two step daughters, Loretta Lahti and Michelle Lahti both of Lansing;  two sisters, JoLucile Barragan of Weidman, Donna Jean (Paul) Horton of Montana and brother, Donald Brooks of Lansing; two grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Ommen and Jakob (Courtney) Hodges; seven step grandchildren, Richard, Julian, Anastasia, Joshua, Nicole, Brandon, Cadance; eight great grandchildren; special nieces, Lisa McMullen (Rick) of Lansing and Jeannette Pung (Mike) of Weidman; nieces, Tina (Ralph) Bryant of Lansing and Teresa (Jerry) Evans of Maryland; nephews, Gary (Tammy) and Byron (Rhonda) Baxter of Montana, and Mark Ferrin of Michigan.  She is preceded by both parents; husband George Lahti; ex-husband John Ommen.  Per Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled at this time.
