Joyce Iva Peetz

Joyce Peetz, 90, of Mt. Pleasant passed away at Maplewood Assisted Living on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.  Joyce was born on January 26, 1931, daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Walker) Wallace, in Carsonville, MI. She married William Peetz on May 19, 1956 in Carsonville, MI.  Together they raised their three children.  Joyce enjoyed traveling, gardening, and reading.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.   Joyce is survived by her children; Diane (David) Whale of Detroit, Nancy (Michael) Corrigan of Hamburg, MI, and John (Barbara) Peetz of Royal Oak, MI; grandchildren, Carolyn (Jason) Brown of Peoria, AZ., Chelsea Whale of Chicago, IL, Lauren Peetz and James Peetz both of Royal Oak, MI.  She is preceded in death by both parents; brother Robert Wallace and her husband William in 2017.  Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at  Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 with Pastor Jonathon Bakker officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rogers City.
