Joyce E. Vogel

Joyce Evalee Vogel, 70, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005 at home. Her funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Father Robert Byrne of Sacred Heart Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan (www.hospicecentralmich.com). Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Joyce was born August 24, 1934, in Deerfield Township, the daughter of Max and Sarah (Taylor) Rhode. She married Milferd Vogel in 1956. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing bingo, country music, watching sports, and her dog Bootsy . Joyce loved spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly by her children, Tina Vogel of Mt. Pleasant, Dennis (Kris) Vogel of Battle Creek and her three grandchildren on the way; sister, Freida Holben of Diamondale. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milferd, five brothers and six sisters.
