Judith I. St. Andre, 84, of Mt. Pleasant died peacefully Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the Laurels in Mt. Pleasant. She was born March 13, 1922 in Calumet, the daughter of John and Esther (Helberg) Vuolle. She married Paul A. St. Andre on March 16, 1944. Judith and Paul lived in Grand Rapids from 1944-1980 at which time they moved to Lac LaBelle. She moved to Calumet after Pauls death in 1996. She has spent the last three years in Mt. Pleasant. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a charitable heart, and just enjoyed helping people. She loved music and was known to be a great cook. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Judith is survived by her daughter, Judith L. (St. Andre) and her husband, Brian Holmes of Brighton; son, Jerry St. Andre and his wife, Mary Beth (Wolfston) of Lake Isabella; three grandchildren, Jeremy St. Andre, Elizabeth Holmes, and Katherine Holmes; a great-grandson, Noah Schalk; three sisters, Eileen Newell of Brighton, Norma (Rudy) Aittama of Livonia, and Cleo (Dan) Anderson of Naperville, IL; two brothers-in-law, George Krogul of Palatine, IL and Norman Paulson of Farmington; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Vuolle of Roosevelt, NJ. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly by her countless nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul A. St. Andre in 1996; and four sisters and one brother. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
