Karen Buck, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born September 26, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, daughter of the late Darl and Oma (Kirkman) Mulanix. A 1956 graduate of Davison High School, Karen married her high school sweetheart, Samuel Buck, on August 17, 1957, at First United Methodist Church in Davison. That marriage was blessed with three children, Kay, Kelly, and Eddie. She worked as an office manager for Burroughs and as a secretary for Uptegraff Motors in Davison. She enjoyed gardening, shopping for antiques, baking, and traveling to different places along with Samuel (while he was driving truck). She was artistic (tole painter) and even taught people how to tole paint. More than anything, Karen loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Karen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Samuel; two children, Kelly Buck of Mt. Pleasant and Eddie (Kim) Buck of Wausau, WI; son in-law, Jack Peppler Jr. of Flint; grandchildren, David (Vera) Peppler of Clarksville, TN, Kasey (David) Shuck of Three Rivers, Sean Austin (Kelly Stevenson) of Everett, WA, Sam Buck of Sun Prairie, WI, and Brooke Buck of Wausau, WI; great grandchildren, Aiden and Cody Peppler; and sister, Beverley (Norman) Peppler of Prudenville. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Kay (2019). Karen's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Rainbow Connection. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
