Karen M. Wallin

Karen Wallin, 76, of Weidman, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.  Karen was born in Alma on August 30, 1944, daughter of the late Earl and Esther (Moore) Wale.  She graduated from Merrill High School in 1962 and married Fred Wallin in Merrill on October 6, 1962.  Together they raised their three sons. Karen was a Pharmacy clerk, working for the Wildern's Drug store for more than 15 years and  retiring in 2002.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and working in her yard. Karen took pride in going to church and spending time with her family.  Karen is survived by her husband of more than 58 years, Fred; children, David (Shelia) Wallin of Ithaca, Douglas (Dana) Wallin of St. Louis, Mo. and Darrell (Heidi) Wallin of Gillette, Wy.; grandchildren, Jonathon, Daniel (Krista), Douglas, Mathew, Brandy (Dave), and Kristina (Bryan); great grandchildren, Dean, Mason, Vada, Zoey, Beau and Carson; siblings, Bea Emery and Lilly James; and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by both parents and siblings Anita Mudd, Dessie Fall, JB Wale, LD Wale, Larry Wale, and Norma Bushre. A public funeral for Karen will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, at the Weidman Church of the Nazarene with pastor Matt Gunderman officiating.    Family will receive friends for a public visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.    Karen will be interred at the Ridgelawn cemetery in Breckenridge.
