Katherine Shirely, 90, passed away peacefully May 3, 2016. In her finally days she looked forward to being greeted by the Lord she served in all her years. She knew that she would once again rejoice and dance with her husband Larry and her daughter Linda. Cheers would come from her brother Joe Koch and mother and father and the hundreds of family and friends gone before her.

Katherine was raised in the St. Louis area and owned Shirelys Furniture store. Katherine and Lawrence were married in 1946. Katherine was a mother, grandma, great grandma, business woman, farmer and piano player. She loved cooking for large family gatherings and she also touched many people's lives for Christ as she was a very devout Christian. She was a member of the Community Church in Mt. Pleasant.



She is survived by her sons Ron and John, daughter Rayanne.

Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence Earl in 1984 and daughter Linda Kay Shirely.



Mom chose to be cremated and placed next to herhusband, daughter, mother and father atthe St Louis cemetery.



A celebration of life will be planned later this summer in the St Louis area.
