Kathleen Ann Methner

Kathleen Methner, 67, of Coleman, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born January 31, 1955, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, daughter of the late Dennis Leo and Bonnie (Strandburg) McGuire. As the middle child in a family of seven, Kathleen was welcomed into the home by her older siblings, Dennis, Colleen, and Ed. In time, Kathleen would welcome her younger brothers, Mark, Dan, and Chris. Her marriage to Richard DeMoines was blessed with two daughters, Melissa and Marcy. She later married Mark Methner on June 20, 2003. Kathleen had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed impromptu visits from her many friends. She loved her family and relished the opportunity to attend family gatherings where her delicious potato salad was a favorite request. With a giving heart, Kathleen found great pleasure in helping those in need, despite her own needs. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Mark Methner; daughters, Melissa (Chad) Konopnicki of Coleman; Marcy DeMoines of Midland; step children, Maria Methner of Edmore, Jason Methner of Coleman, and Brandon (Chrystal) Methner of Harrison; grandchildren, Cody DeMoines, Claudia Methner, Zander Methner, Kylie Methner, Karson Methner, and Kingston Methner, Brody Bigelow, and Brayden Bigelow; great grandchildren, Cayden, Gracelynn, and Xolani; siblings, Dennis McGuire of Shepherd, Colleen (Ken) Harnick of Shepherd, Ed McGuire of Mt. Pleasant, Mark (Kathy) McGuire of Shepherd, Dan (Natalie) McGuire of Weidman, and Chris McGuire (Renee Martin) of Shepherd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
