Kay Ann Stebelton

Kay Ann Stebelton, aged 75, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, with her beloved husband and granddaughter, Amanda, by her side. Born on November 10, 1950, in Isabella County, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of Warren Leroy and Thelma Ann (Loomis) Leiter. Kay was the second of seven siblings, growing up alongside Gregory, Cheryl, Timothy, Cynthia, Valerie, and David.

A proud 1968 graduate of Chippewa Hills High School, she married the love of her life, Daniel Stebelton, on May 2, 1969, in Isabella County. Kay dedicated 38 years of her professional life to the Mt. Pleasant Center, retiring in 2009. Her life was enriched by her love for reading, gardening, painting, and bowling. Above all, family was the cornerstone of her life, and she found immense joy in her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Daniel; daughter, Renee Myshock of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Jessica (Lance) Beyerle, Chelsey (Matthew) Brock, Amanda Myshock, and Abigail Myshock; great grandchildren, Sydney, Brinley, twins Louelle and Waylan, and Leland; sisters, Cheryl (Steve) Voss of Weidman, Cynthia Blodgett of Lake, and Valerie (Denny) Emling of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Thelma Leiter; granddaughter, Mariah Danielle Myshock; and brothers, Gregory, Timothy, and David.

Kay has been cremated and her cremains will be laid to rest in Sherman City Cemetery near Weidman.
