Keith A. Baumann, 66, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday, October 27, 2001 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Wed., October 31, at Sacred Heart Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart For Health. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Keith was born Feb. 18, 1935, in Remus, the son of Isadore and Mabel (Matzen) Baumann. He married Joyce Rhode on Sept. 20, 1956 in Remus. In 1959 he founded Rosebush Baumann IGA. He later founded Weidman Baumann IGA in 1970. His favorite pastimes were golfing and woodworking. Keith will sadly be missed by his beloved wife, Joyce A. Baumann of Mt. Pleasant; three loving children, Steve (Khris) Baumann of Lake Isabella, Terry (Brenda) Baumann of Remus and Lisa (Marty) Yuncker of Beal City; and seven grandchildren, Brad, Andy, Luke, Matt, Taylor, Scott, and Makaila. He is also survived by one brother, Dan (Carol) Baumann of Sylvester; two sisters, Mary Lou (Ed) Fries of Melvindale and JoAnn (George) Dorr of Troy; one sister-in-law, Mary Baumann of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Sonny Baumann.
