Keitha Beltinck, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at Maplewood Assisted Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Saturday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Kit was born July 30, 1925, in Rosebush, the daughter of the late Allen and Edith (McKinley) McShea. She married Francis J. Bud Beltinck on June 24, 1944, at Sacred Heart Church. She worked as an accounting clerk for Central Michigan Community Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and for the ladies auxiliary at CMCH. Kit is survived by three children, Susan Hovey of Mt. Pleasant, Kenneth Beltinck of Ashburn, VA and Peggy (John) OBrien of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Lauri Hovey, Steve (Wendy) Hovey, Tara (Kevin Franko) Hovey, Jennifer (Greg) Chestnut, Doug Hovey, Aaron OBrien, Jeremy (Stephanie) Hovey, Colleen (Johan) Steen, and Evan OBrien; and nine great-grandchildren, Zachary and Caleb Bauer, Jacob Hovey, John, Madelyn, Michael Franko, Nicholas and Alexander Chestnut, and Jeremy James Hovey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud in 1992; three brothers; and two sisters.
