Kermit Sexton Jr., age 81 of Blanchard passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Kermit was born on July 29, 1936 to Kermit and Bessie (Roberts) Sexton in Morehead, KY. He was raised in the Iron River and Detroit areas. On June 28, 1973 Kermit and Johanna Fielder were married at Flat Rock, MI. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Pennsylvania Truck Lines for over 20 years. Kermit served his country proudly in the United States Army. Hunting and fishing and working on cars were a few of his favorite pastimes but his passion was spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Weidman Church of the Nazarene and the NRA.

Kermit is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Johanna; children, Jodi Stempien and David Gudnason; beloved dog "Brownie"; grandchildren, Kayla and Cassie Stempien, Ashley Clawson, Brandi Ladanyi; 7 great grandchildren and 3 sisters.

Kermit was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Sherri Gudnason; and 2 sisters and 1 brother.

In honoring Kermit's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in Kermit's memory may be made to MidMichigan Hospice.
