Kevin Max Jones

Kevin Jones, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, after an accident at his home. Kevin was born August 1, 1955, in Lakeview, Michigan, son of Howard and Mary Lou (Methner) Jones. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1974 and was employed by The Delfield Company for 32 years, retiring in 2018. On October 16, 1993, he married Michele Sysak. Naturally athletic and strong, Kevin enjoyed golfing and, in his youth, playing baseball. He was also a woodcarver and fisherman. When he was young, he fished in "Pill Hill" and in Honor, Michigan. Beyond all his pastimes, nothing gave Kevin greater joy than spending time with his grandson, Eli. Kind, honest, giving, and well-liked, Kevin will be missed by many. Kevin is survived by his wife, Michele; daughter, Jessica (Caleb Joslyn) Jones of Vestaburg; grandson, Eli (and another grandchild on the way); parents, Howard and Mary Lou Jones of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Vicki (Tim) Hart of Mt. Pleasant and Darcy Jones of Lake Isabella; and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.
