L. Ladonna (Donna) Bacarella

L. Ladonna (Donna) Bacarella age 101, passed away on February 1, 2022, at Green Acres, assisted living, in Mt Pleasant, MI. The family is so grateful for the loving care that the staff of Green Acres and Pro Medica (Heartland) Hospice gave to her. Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and GG (great grandmother) was born April 21, 1920, in Deerfield Michigan, daughter of Samuel and Lena Keinath.  She graduated from Deerfield High School.   She married James V. Bacarella who preceded her in death in 1991. She resided in Monroe until moving to Mt. Pleasant, MI in 2012 to be near her daughter. Donna was a homemaker, her family dinners enjoyed by all!  She enjoyed reading books and poetry and visits to casinos, but mostly she enjoyed the get-togethers with family. She is survived by children James (Melissa) Bacarella, of Mesa, AZ and Susan Miller of Mt Pleasant, MI. Grandchildren Tom (Pam) Bacarella, Sarah (Larry) Kallio, Dan Bacarella, Peter (Andrea) Shepherd, Jon (Shelley) Bacarella, and Paul Bacarella. Step grandchildren Chris Miller, Allison Drake, Steven Davis, and twelve great grandchildren.  She is survived by nieces and nephews including her special niece Bonnalyn (Hibbert) Lowell and nephew Jerald (Carol) Buckles. Besides her husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Buckles and Eva Heck, two brothers, Irving and Stacy Keinath, nephew John Buckles, niece Betsy Buckles, son in law Norbert Miller and infant great grandson, Michael Bacarella. Per Donna's wishes a graveside service will be held at Roselawn cemetery. Donna asked that we, on occasion, recall a fond memory of her that she hopes will bring a smile.
