Larry Eugene McArthur

Larry Eugene McArthur, age 63, of Weidman passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home.

Larry was born on April 16, 1952 to Eugene and Edith (Franze) McArthur in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He was raised in Weidman and graduated from Remus High School. His lifelong partner was Marilee June Blodgett and she passed away August 29, 2005. Larry worked for JD Metal Works in Clare as a machine operator and retired in 2010. He enjoyed watching court shows, NASCAR, and drag racing on TV and he especially enjoyed laughter with his family. His most passionate joy in life was his children.

Larry is survived by his two children, Jamie and Derrick McArthur; his siblings, Tim (Mary Ellen) McArthur, Cathy (Jim) VanSyckle, Rick (Dawn) McArthur, Jeannie McArthur, and Doris McArthur; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Marilee June Blodgett, and a brother David McArthur and sister, Betty McArthur and also his parents.

A Memorial Gathering celebrating Larry's life will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Maier Family Funeral Home in Weidman from 6 to 8 p.m.
