Larry Dean Wahl

Larry Dean Wahl, aged 73, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Larry, born on May 4, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, was the third of four children of Marvin and Norma (Long) Wahl. Due to his father's Army career, Larry lived in various places, including Germany, but spent most of his youth in Stanwood, Michigan. He graduated from Morley-Stanwood High School in 1971.

Larry began his career as an electrician, building power substations until the early 1980s. He then transitioned to The Delfield Company, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring in 2015. Larry's marriage to Christine Williams was blessed with two children, Michael and Lisa. He later married Connie Moerland, who has been by his side for 30 years.

Larry had a wide range of interests, including computer gaming, painting, listening to music, reading, and writing. He also had a passion for cars, particularly Corvettes.

Larry is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Michael (DeAnna) Wahl of Mt. Pleasant and Lisa (Josh) Busch of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, Michael Wahl II and Alexander Wahl, and Victoria Busch and Erik Busch; his elder siblings, William (Cathy) Wahl of Muskegon and Sharon (Richard) Harvey of Lake Odessa; sister in-law, Diane Wahl of Stanwood; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and younger brother, Gary Wahl.

Cremation has taken place. No service is planned.
