Laura O. Neff

Laura O. Neff, 90, of Mt. Pleasant died Thursday, July 15, 2004 at her home. Her funeral will be celebrated at 1:00 Monday, July 19, at Lux Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Rosebush. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home today from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Monday from noon until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Envelopes are available at the Lux Funeral Home. Laura was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Lewis County, Kentucky, the daughter of Green and Ida (Chriswell) Rickett. She married Homer Neff in Blanchard. Laura was born and raised in Kentucky but spent most of her adult life in Michigan. She enjoyed farming and hunting. Laura is survived by three children, Mabel (Bob) VanHorn of Mt. Pleasant, Hack (Pat) Smith of Hamilton, Ohio, and Russell (Joanne) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Homer Neff.
