Lena Riley, 72, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at her home. A Funeral Mass for Lena will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Cremation will take place after Mass and her ashes will be interred in Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday at the church one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Goodrow Fund through St. Johns Episcopal Church or Heart for Health through Sacred Heart Parish. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Lena was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Isabella County, daughter of the late Leo and Sylvia (Stevens) Wilmot. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1962, she received her LPN from Mid Michigan Community College. On April 9, 1971, she married Gerald Riley in Mt. Pleasant. She retired from the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and volunteering. Lena is survived by two children, Shawn (Bonnie) Riley of Gainsboro, TN, Angela Smith of Mt. Pleasant; step-son, James (Tara) Riley of Shepherd; four grandchildren, Andrew (Courtney) Davidson, Aaron (Stephanie) Davidson, Addam Davidson, and Ashlyn Davidson; three great-grandchildren, Andrew J. Jackson, Jade Davidson, and Jaxon Davidson; five siblings, Ada Potter of Midland, James Wilmot of Mt. Pleasant, Sylvia (Terry) Schutt of Mt. Pleasant, Richard (Carolyn) Wilmot of Mt. Pleasant, and Theresa (Jon) Collin of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald in 1985; step-sons, Gerald Riley Jr. and John Riley; and brother, William Wilmot.
