Linda June Lawson

Linda Lawson, 72, of Oil City, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 30, 1948, in Logan, WV, daughter of the late James Arthur and Mary Lydia (Watkins) Hamblin. She was employed by General Motors at Fisher Body and Lake Orion, both as an assembler. Some of her favorite pastimes were bowling, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and watching soap operas. Linda is survived by four children, Thomas Lawson of New York, Brenda Lawson of Clarkston,  Bobby (Jackie) Lawson of Lake Orion, and Stephanie (Jason) McCowan of Mt. Morris; brother in-law, Edward Ray Pendergrass of Oil City; 26 grandchildren and great grandchildren; two siblings, Moss (Beth) Hamblin of Cadillac and Janice Hamblin (Kenneth Abbott) of Clarkston; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and many siblings. Linda's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Larry Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Kelly Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
