Lois Eloise Stahl

Lois Stahl, 92, of Mt. Pleasant died Thursday, January 13, 2022, at McLaren of McLaren Medical Center Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant. Lois was born July 2, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and was the first of 15 children born to the late Leo and Lydia (Thompson) Stahl. Lois would eventually welcome her 14 siblings who joined her at home: Dorotha, Shirley, Carole, Richard, Duane, Robert, Jerry, Janet, Sharon, Nancy, Rosemary, Frances, Karolyn, and Kathryn.  Lois loved movies, gardening and being outside.  She also loved to work.  At times she would work as many as three different jobs.  During her working days, she worked for Leo Stahl Concrete Products, Ducommon Machine Shop and Corbit and Greenwald Construction, doing secretarial work.  Lois is survived by her siblings, Dorotha Ferderick of Dewitt, Carole Gill of Mt. Pleasant, Duane (Maxine) Stahl of Mansfield, Ohio, Robert (Jean) Stahl of Dewitt, Janet (Phillip Deline) Engwis of Mt. Pleasant, Nancy Switzer of Shepherd, Frances Jean (Gary) Carey of Evart, Karolyn (Richard) Groeneveld of Mt. Pleasant and Kathryn Wright of Ashland, TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; and siblings, Shirley Liscomb, Richard Stahl, Jerry Stahl, Sharon Liscomb and Rosemary Stahl.  Lois's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 21, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Damitio officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Lois will be laid to rest in Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to wishes of family, in care of Janet Engwis. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
