Lori Ann Schafer

Lori Schafer, 54, of Beal City, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at home with her family by her side. A Funeral Mass for Lori will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 9, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Ricky Varner as celebrant. The family will receive friends in the gathering room of the church on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Thursday one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker School. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Lori was born May 20, 1962, in Big Rapids, MI, daughter of Ronald Dale and Laura Madeline (Eichenberg) Todd. She married Timothy Schafer on July 27, 1979, at St. Joseph Church. Lori was incredibly giving of her time. She volunteered for many charitable causes. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Lori is survived by her husband of 37 years, Tim; three children, Lindsay Schafer and Kyle Schafer both of Mt. Pleasant and Amy Schafer of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Kiyana, Ella, and Isaiah; mother, Laura Cameron of Mt. Pleasant; father, Ronald (Betty) Todd of White Cloud; siblings, Dan (Nancy) Todd of Grand Rapids, David Todd of Evart, Darcy (Lynnette) Todd of Reed City, Tina (Jeff) Roelofs of Zeeland, and Jamie (Kelly) Gawne of Charlotte, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Krista Ann Schafer in 1984.
