Lori Anne Stickney, 48, of Richmond, Michigan, passed away Saturday, November 24, at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. A Funeral Mass for Lori will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Joe Horn as celebrant. A luncheon will follow at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-7:30 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Saturday one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church. Lori was born February 22, 1970, in Detroit, daughter of Ronald L. and Margie E. (McDonald) Stickney. A 1988 graduate of Sterling Heights High School, she earned a bachelors degree in early childhood development from Michigan State University in 1992. She was employed by Ray Wiegands Nursery in Macomb for 30 years including part-time while in school and full-time after college. She was the current assistant buyer and manager of indoor sales where her spirit was a compass, a foundation, and a driving force to her work family. Lori attended church at Holy Family Parish in Memphis, Michigan. She enjoyed music and sang in the Fraser Chorale along with her mother. An awesome and loving aunt, Lori rarely missed an event of her nieces and nephew. She was your biggest fan and always made sure you knew how much you meant to her. Lori is survived by her father, Ronald Stickney of Canadian Lakes; older brother, Jeffrey (Carolyn) Stickney of Goodrich; younger sister, Amy (Gordon) Culver of Frankenmuth; four nieces and one nephew, Alyssa, Carson and Isabel Stickney and Evelyn and Abigail Culver; aunts and uncles, Kathleen Kearney, Robert (Gail) McDonald, Ruth (Chuck) Johnson, Leona M. McDonald, Barb McDonald, Marian McDonald, Sally McDonald, Clifford Schmidt, and Margaret Sell; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Stickney in 2015; maternal grandparents, Fred and Lucille McDonald; paternal grandparents, Harlon and Anna Stickney; and cousins, Jeff McDonald and Susan Boyer.
