Lorrie Ann (King) Dunlap

Lorrie Dunlap, 63, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at home with her family by her side.  Lorrie was born on March 31, 1960, in Lansing, daughter of Larry King and the late Patricia King.  She graduated with the class of 1978 from Mt. Pleasant High School.  She married Gary Dunlap on August 25, 1989, in Mt. Pleasant. Together they were blessed with three children, Christopher, Allie, and Lisa.  Many remember her smiling face while working for Robaires Bakery for over 16 years. She enjoyed camping, gardening, baking, and road trips to Tennessee with Gary.  Lorrie also enjoyed; craft shows, yard sales, holiday parades, drive-in movie theaters, canoeing, turtles, sun & moons, beach days, and hiking, particularly at Hocking Hills.  Most of all Lorrie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.  She will be missed by so many. Lorrie is survived by her father, Larry King of Mt. Pleasant; children, Christopher (Lisa) King of Mt. Pleasant, Allie Dunlap of Mt. Pleasant, and Lisa Pringle of Mesa, AZ.; grandchildren, Lilly King, Abby King, Colton Pringle and Rugen Clarke; siblings, Joel King of Mt. Pleasant, James (Dawn) King of Weidman, Timothy (Catherine) King of Foley, Al., and Kevin (Cindy) King of Gulf Shores, Al.; in-laws, Connie Thorton, Ron Dunlap, Tom Dunlap, Deb Wells and Dusty Merritt; and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia King; husband, Gary Dunlap; in-laws, Betty and Donald Dunlap, brothers in law, Terry Thornton, Randy Dunlap, Butch Dunlap, and Bobby Jo Wells; and niece, Amanda McGough.  Per Lorrie's wishes, cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and a celebration of her life will be held on a future date this spring.  To sign the online guest book or leave a condolence for the family please visit www.CharlesRLux.com.
