Lucy Ames, 42, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, August 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Don Henkes officiating. Burial will take place on Saturday, August 3, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Florida. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:15 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ames Family. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Lucy was born July 25, 1960, in Port Chester, NY, the daughter of John and Nancy (Catalano) Lovallo. She married Aaron Ames on January 4, 1990, in West Palm Beach. She has spent the last 10 years working at Isabella Community Credit Union as a loan officer. Prior to that she had worked as a substitute teacher at Sunnyfield School in Mt. Pleasant and also at Cellularone in Florida. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. She loved music, traveling and spending time on the beach. She was a wonderful mother who will be missed dearly by her husband, daughter, and friends. Lucy is survived by her husband, Aaron Ames of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Julie Vargas of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Angelo Lovallo of Florida; uncle, Joseph Lovallo and aunt, Jaye Lovallo, both of Port Chester, NY. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1995 and her father in 1997.
